People behind Touchstone NDT

Touchstone is managed by a Team of professionals who have been in the inspection business (both onshore and offshore projects in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy and Manufacturing sectors) for the last seven years. In terms of accumulated experience, its management team has more than 10 years of experience and has worked on more than 100 projects in Papua New Guinea. The cumulative experience of the Touchstone workforce exceeds 20 man-years in the asset integrity inspection and related activities.

To ensure competitiveness, Touchstone has one of the only few ISO9712/AINDT Certified NDT Practitioner’s in Papua New Guinea making it the one of the only two Companies in the country that can provide local NDT Services. Touchstone has embarked on the process of Inspection, Testing and Certification accredited to NATA & ISO9001.

About Lawa

Our Managing Director Lawa Kiriwi has over 7 years in both Mining and Oil & Gas Industries in PNG specialising in Asset Reliability and Integrity Inspections. Lawa is one of the only two Papua New Guineans with ISO9712 certification in NDT Level 2. Lawa has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from PNG University of Technology and is a member of the Australian Institute for Non- Destructive Testing (AINDT). With a wealth of hands-on experience in asset integrity and risk-based inspections complimented with all conventional NDT methods, Lawa brings to the touchstone team valuable skills and expertise to provide customized solutions to the NDT and asset integrity inspection needs for our local industries

About Micheal

Our co-director Michael Babul is a career Asset Management Professional with over a decade of experience in Food, Beverage, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and Mining. Holding senior roles in the O&G and Mining Industries and having led and managed multiple, cross- departmental teams, Michael, brings to the Touchstone team a sound level of experience and expertise and organizational skills needed to achieve the expected outcomes for our clients and our business.
